Thanksgiving 2011

We had a really great Thanksgiving...
my family came into town and we had a great time playing games, cooking, eating and relaxing.
We had so much fun all together, I didn't even take many pictures! :(
Next time, I'll do better...

The boys loved playing with their cousin Abby, and she loved all the attention!

It was great to have everyone here at our home!

Don't even think I am weird that I take pictures of my tablescape...
c'mon now, you know I love this stuff!

"I get around round round get around, I get around..."

BYU vs. TCU Game
Cowboy Stadium

When we pulled up to Cowboy Stadium I really thought we were walking into the spaceship from Flight of the Navigator.  It was a little freaky.
Compliance!

It was a fun experience, Thatcher LOVED it.
He mostly loved the nachos and cotton candy, and kinda liked the game...
but we got to start training him young!

"Where ya going to go to college..." (our question often to the boys...)
Their response...
"BYU!"
Yep.

A Spooktacular Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year...

I just love how coo coo kids get for Halloween, and I dare say my boys are the coo coo-est!

Thatcher chose to be Harry Potter this year, which isn't a surprise at all.  The kid is OBSESSED.

And Tagg wanted to be "bones so he could go click clack, click clack" when he walked.

This was the first year they didn't do a pair costume...it was hard for me, but I guess they are getting older and need to move on...so sad.

Todd was able to stay home and trick or treat with the boys which was a real treat.

We had fun eating our annual Halloween dinner of Dinner in Pumpkin, carving pumpkins and listening to spooky music while we prepped for the main event.

Todd took the boys out Trick or Treating while I handed out candy.
I LOVED seeing all the cute costumes of the neighborhood kids and having SO many kids
come to our door!
I swear the doorbell rang straight for 2 hours!
It was great!

Now we have two HUGE buckets full of candy and some serious mischief going on by
two sugar addicted boys.
(Tagg crawled in bed with me today at 5:30am with Butterfinger breath...hmmmm)

PreK Par-taaaay!

Tagg has the cutest, most fun PreK program around...I am convinced of it!

He comes home from school every day happy and excited about learning.
(even on the days when he gets a "yellow" or "red"...yikes!)

They had a cute little Halloween party.
Tagg was SO excited for DAYS before the party, when it finally arrived I was surprised he could contain himself!  He kept rubbing it in to Thatcher that HE was having a party at school and Thatcher wasn't.  Yeah...good times.

Thanks to Miss Janette and Miss Andrea for making it SO fun for all the kids!

Tagg taking a swing at the Pinata.

A view of all the kids...

Tagg's friend Jane...
such a cute sad princess!

All the kids...

Tagg's buddies Nate and Kyle.

One cute little owl!

Not the best picture, but Tagg with Miss Janette!

Cause even Texas has pumpkin patches!

We took the boys to the pumpkin patch again this year...

It was a hot mess.

And by hot mess I mean it was literally HOT, as in a humid 84 (sorry Texans, your "Fall" fails)...

and a MESS as in the fact that this is probably the only decent pumpkin patch in the DFW metroplex so everyone and their grandma and dog was there this particular day!

Since we drove almost an hour to get there we decided we needed to stay at least an hour to feel good about it and ourselves.

The boys loved it though, which obviously makes everything worth it.

After we were done I decided I deserved a nice refreshing cold Coke Zero and some Cheesecake Factory, so that is exactly where we headed...

Maybe in December or January we can finally break out the cider and doughnuts!

A parents worst nightmare...THE CORN MAZE!

 Love this boy!
....and this one too!
"Better get used to these bars kid"
...never gets old.

friendly happy sibling rivlary at it's best...
 ...okay so maybe not...
Thatcher is still faster, MUCH to Tagg's disappointment...

So not to be mean...but...
There was this lady? in front of us in line for the bouncy slides...
Let's call her Pat, because we aren't quite sure if she is a she or a he...or maybe a little bit of both?
Chaz Bono's cousin?
I don't know...what do you think?

We're crazy about sports around here, y'all!

Frisco was voted "Best place to raise an athlete" in Men's Heath Magazine...

I would say that is probably true seeing as the whole city is NUTS about sports!

Ever seen Friday Night Lights?

Texans love their sports, don't mess!

This Fall the boys decided that Tagg wanted to play soccer...

and Thatcher decided he wants to be the next Jimmer and start basketball.

We have been having fun at weekly practices and Saturday games, and they have enjoyed it so much we have signed them up for Winter season too!
