Conference

Conference was amazing today! We thouroghly enjoyed it. I loved Elder Holland and Elder Bednars talks. They were so wonderful. It was also great to hear President Hinckley. We are so blessed to have apostles and prophets on the earth today!

Taggy

As most of you know we call Taggart--Taggy. This all started when Thatcher started calling him Taggy. I guess it was just easier for him to say. Taggy is now rolling all over the place and just today he got up on his hand and knees and started rocking back and forth...I can't believe it! What am I going to do with two little ones to chase after? :)

Play Group!

I look forward to every Tuesday because that is Play Group day! A bunch of us from the ward get together with our kids and the person who is hosting play group that week provides lunch for everyone. It is really great to get together and eat and chat and have the kids play. Yay for play group!

I had to put this picture on here. Thatcher is ALWAYS trying to pull Lacey's bow out of her hair! He is fascinated by it!

Playing with the "Big Kids"

Thatcher thinks that he is as old as some of the "big kids" in our neighborhood. It is pretty funny. On Saturday evening we went out front to do some yard work and Thatcher starting playing with the kids on our street. They are good sports to play with him. He really doesn't see the size difference though. We are so lucky to live on a good street with lots of cute young kids. We also have three member families on our street, and in our neighborhood we have about 8 LDS families. I am starting to call our neighborhood "Little Provo".

Your Hair Should Be Pink

Hyper, insane, and a boatload of fun.
You're a traveling party that everyone loves to follow.

This is a silly thing I did tonight while Todd is working late.

Happy Birthday Thatcher!

Yesterday was Thatcher's 2nd birthday! We had a lot of fun! In the morning we got up and let him open his presents because I wanted him to be able to play with them all day long. He loved ripping open his gifts and he had a blast playing with his new toys. In the afternoon we had some of his friends over with their moms for a Sponge Bob birthday! We had cake and ice cream and let the kids play. When Todd got home from work we went to Chucky Cheese's and had a great time! Thatcher LOVES pizza and pop, so he was in heaven! We played and played and finally came home and put a very tired birthday boy to sleep. It was a great day! I can't believe my baby is now a preschooler! It really feels like just yesterday I held him in my arms for the first time. Happy Birthday buddy!

Digging Outside

Thatcher absolutly LOVES being outside. I remember when Thatcher was just a few weeks old and he was fussy, all we had to do was take him outside and he would stop crying. We are lucky that we have such nice weather here in Tucson because Thatcher loves to go outside every day and dig in our dirt filled backyard. He gets up in the morning, has breakfast, and then asks for his "shoes". I get him dressed and his shoes on and he heads out the back door with Rorey and says, "bye bye mommy"! He will play out there for hours! He comes back inside every once and again for a drink of ice water and then heads back out! It is really cute. He is ALL boy. He get so dirty that he has to have two baths a day sometimes!

Lots of Video Clips!

As you can see I have posted a few clips of the boys over the last two days doing funny /cute things. Enjoy!

Thatcher eating....

Last night after trying to get Thatcher to take some more "bites" Todd came up with this new little game for him to eat. He would pretend that his food was different animals and make the sounds that went with that animal. Thatcher thought it was hillarious, so I decided to take a video of it!

Baby Thatcher

Thatcher has been fascinated with the binkie, bottles, the bouncy seat, pretty much anything that Taggy has or does. So the other day when he was wanting to play with the binkie we let him have it and wrapped him up like we do Taggy and Thatcher didn't know what to do! We rocked him and put him in the "baby seat" and he looked at us like we were crazy!

YUM!

Here is Taggy after his morning cereal. He has just started to eat pretty well off the spoon! I forgot how messy babies (and mom!) get when they eat. Taggart is now six months old and is really a good natured baby. He is really happy all the time as long as he if fed, diapered, and rested.

Saturday Morning...

Here are the boys hanging out on the couch Saturday morning as I got ready for the shower...aren't they cute?

Baby Shower

It feels like everyone I know is pregnant or having babies in the next couple months! I threw a baby shower for my neighbor and friend from the ward, Kelli Tonks. It was really fun and turned out nice. I feel really lucky that I have some fun cute friends to hang around here in Tucson.

This is the diaper cake that I made for Kelli. It was my first one, and it was fun to make.

Taggy is already going for older women...like his Dad.

Teresa and Kristin. Teresa's daughter Lacey and Thatcher are really good friends. Kristin is the wife of the other EQ president.

These are some of my friends from our ward who came to the baby shower. From left to right: Suzanne, Kelli, Sara, and Melanie.

This is a new little decorating addition that we added to our home this weekend...I think it turned out nice.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! I hope all of you have a great day and you are surrounded by those you love and who love you!

The Melting Pot...

For Valentines Day we went to the Melting Pot last night. It was SO FUN! If any of you haven't been there we strongly recommend it. It was so good, and it was such a fun experience, perfect for Valentines Day!

Thatcher Playing with Rorey

Rorey

This is our new dog Rorey. She is a cocker spaniel and she is two months old. She is a great addition to our little family and needless to say Thatcher is obsessed with her! He follows her around and she chases him and since we got her he hasn't had a dull moment. It is so fun to watch. She is a really good dog, and she is so cute. Thatcher now has someone besides Taggy to boss around, which is really funny. He will say to Rorey, "No No Ruff Ruff", or "No bite!" when she nips at him.
Thatcher and Rorey on the ground. Thatcher loves to get right down to her level to look at her. It is really cute.

Play Group

Cute little Thatcher.
Lacey playing her instrument. She is too cute! Thatcher and her love to play together!

Dinner Time!

Dinner time can be hectic at our house. We try to eat all together as a family every night, but some nights we just can't make it because Todd gets home late or Thatcher is too hungry! Taggart is now joining us and eating cereal in his bouncer. In a couple of weeks we will start baby food fruits and veggies...yum!
Thatcher after dinner talking out the side of his mouth. It is so funny!

New Tricks

I thought I would write down some of the new "tricks" that the kiddos are doing now!

Thatcher
The big news is that Thatcher is now climbing out of his crib. When he first starting doing this he really scared me a couple of times! I was used to thinking when he was down he was down! He now comes out of his room probably close to 30 times before he actually goes to sleep (for nap time at least). When he goes to sleep for the night he will only come out probably 3-5 times, and give up and go to sleep. I believe it is because he is so tired from not taking as long of naps anymore! Thatcher is also becoming quite the chatter box. He talks and talks all day. He has learned all of his basic body parts, so we have now moved on to more complex ones like "elbow" "thumb" and "knee". One thing I have noticed about Thatcher, he loves to learn! I will only have to show or tell him something once, and he learns it.

Taggart
Taggy is five months old today! I can't believe how fast the time goes by, I cannot believe he has only been in our family for five months! I don't remember life without him. He is a perfect addition to our little family. Taggy is now sleeping great at night and he takes two pretty regular naps a day. He put himself on this schedule, we were shocked! He hasn't rolled over yet, but rolls from side to side and bats at his play gym. He loves to be held and I find myself holding him on my lap while I type on the computer, play with Thatcher, or watch TV. He, like his brother, loves to laugh. He will laugh and laugh and laugh. Just recently Thatcher has realised for the first time that Taggart probably isn't a pet and has a personality and has started to take interest in playing with him. It still baffles him why Taggart doesn't play back like his friends do, but he soon will find out that is about to change!

"When Hell Freezes Over"

Snow in Tucson? I NEVER thought we would see it. Last Sunday night it snowed three inches in Tucson and shocked us all. This past summer when it was 105 every day I would have loved to see it snow here, and it did! It is a rare occurrence, only happening once in every 5-10 years, but we were lucky enough to see it happen while we lived here. We are enjoying the cool weather now while it lasts!
Snow on a local cactus.
A interesting sight, palm trees with snow on them! Not something you see everyday!
Foot prints in the snow infront of our house!

Taggart Hokie-Pokie

This is something that Todd does with Taggart every once and a while. Taggart just thinks it is SO funny. We laugh pretty hard at his cute smiley face and as Todd says, "turns himself around" Taggy makes a really funny face!
